yesterday colin wanted to go ice skating and he insisted that he bring his 6 year old cousin with us.

i was all for it because i think she is the most adorable thing i have ever laid eyes on.

he made sure that her laces were tight and that she was having fun.

i loved watching him with her. she is a dang sweetie!

yesterday i went on a hike with my cute friends up to donut falls. well...i kind of watched them hike. i didn't want to get my shoes wet by crossing the river, so lexi and i got comf and chatted on some rocks.  it was gorgeous though. to be honest i was a bit afraid that a cougar was going to attack me from the bushes, but it didn't happen. also, it was the first time i had seen snow since february. i forgot snow existed actually.

THIS WEEKEND:

i can't wait for this weekend. colin and i are going down to Loa to spend the weekend with his family. [Loa is the smallest town i have ever been too. it's simple adorable.] he said that we would:

+ go fishing

+ have a BBQ

+ be cute

+ ride the scooter [mo-ped]

+ among other activities. 

if you didn't know this, i love fishing beyond belief. i haven't been in awhile so i am pretty darn excited. that boy is so good to me. i wish you could all meet him and know how wonderful he is and how happy he makes me. i am truly blessed to know this kid.

the bees.

so yesterday was a great day and a good day of firsts. i attended my very first Bee's Game with the wonderful Colin. and luckily it was free [thank you pass of all passes.] i also got to experience my very first funnel cake, and boy was it delicious. i gotta have me another one of those.

the Bee's didn't end up winning, but we still had a great time. i mean who wouldn't with that kid? he's gold. 

i can now cross a Bee's Game off of my bucket list. i'm surprised that i haven't ever been before, obviously i have been deprived.  here's to day's of firsts and Bee's Games! i'm ready for a summer of much more.

according to plan.

it's funny how The Lord works. you can have everything planned out to how you think it should go and how you want it to go, but The Lord will still step in and show you how things really should be.

my plan was go through college, finish as much as i can, wait for james, date james when he came home and get married to the fellow. now my plan is confusing and unsure.

let me tell you a story that is long overdue my friends.

a little over a month ago i was set up with this kid named Colin. he took me to the 'Of Mice & Men' and 'A Day To Remember' concert. i absolutely loved it and i thought Colin was a great guy. soon enough he was taking me out again and i was thinking "dang, this kid is pretty wonderful!" i never knew i could be so well treated by a guy. he opens every single door for me and treats me to everything. i am very lucky.

i still love james and i have no idea what is going to happen with Colin, but i feel strongly that i need to pursue this relationship with him. The Lord has a bigger plan for me and i can't wait to find out what it is. it has been hard starting to date someone new. i haven't wanted to hurt james or lead anyone on. its a rough situation to be in, but sometimes The Lord knows what he is doing. i can only trust in him and hope everything will work out how it is suppose to.

colin is basically my twin. sometimes we are so alike it kind of freaks me out. we like all of the same things and laugh hysterically when we are together. he enjoys salt on his green apples, beets, workaholics, black licorice, my type of music and many other things. he is so good to me and i can't wait to tell you more about him.

i just thought i would update you on my little love life. james is doing wonderful in portugal and i will still keep you updated on him. but i thought id give you a peak of the new man in my life. here you are folks, colin:

mothers day.

oh mama. how i love you to death. this mothers day was definitely interesting. i had just barely gotten out of the shower when i received a phone call from my dad who was at the church. apparently he was suppose to ask me to speak 2 weeks ago...and apparently he forgot. so i found out 15 minutes before i was suppose to give my talk. i went in with nothing prepared and just did it spur of the moment ideas. of course being me i ended up crying...but luckily it didn't turn out too horrible.

i am so thankful for this wonderful mother of mine. i couldn't ask for a better example in my life. she has always been there for me for everything and through everything. she is the strongest woman i know i wish everyday that i can one day be half as great as her. she is a firm believer in the gospel and has the strongest testimony i know of. i am so thankful for this woman.

she has been my rock throughout my entire life. when it was just my sister, mom and i she did everything that she could to provide for us and give us everything we wanted as kids. she did the best she could and i am so thankful for her sacrifices everyday. i love my mom unconditionally and wish i could tell her how much she means to me.

weddings & things.

my dear friend kayla got married yesterday. i still can't believe she got married. she is the very first in our closely knit circle of friends. i guess now we will all just follow in her footsteps. i'll be getting married one day...that is a wonderfully frightening thought. 

we all spent the morning at the Salt Lake City temple, in what felt like 10 inch heels. but they made us look cute. the reception was held at Chantilly Mansion. can i say gorgeous? because it was. i couldnt think of a more perfect place to hold a reception.

kayla was a gorgeous bride. unbelievably gorgeous. i am so happy for her and her husband cameron. they are an adorable couple! she is such an example and i am so thankful that i got to be one of her bridesmaids. i loved every moment of it. best experience ever.

• seeing one of my best friends get married! love her to death
• spending the day with all of my close friends and fellow bridesmaids
• taking off the 10 inch heels. i will show you all one day
• sleep at the end of the day. it was the earliest i have gone to bed all semester
• seeing kayla so happy. i couldn't be happier for her, it was amazing.
• having finals week almost over with! i will be happy when i don't have class anymore
• looking forward to the weekend
• moving home...more bittersweet. i hate packing crap
• music swaps, love them.
• having a little bouquet, honestly it was so fun!

horses and other poop.

so this friday and saturday have had me swamped. on friday i ended up going horse back riding with my 2 roommates jerilyn and tarah. it was pretty fun. sadly to say i don't quite like horses, so i was a little hesitant but willing to go on this ride. i ended up enjoying myself...until the end.

my horses name was 'old man' and he was a sweetie. he was gentle and pretty tame. my butt was hurting by the end, which was expected. we started going up this hill and soon enough he just started bolting it up the hill. next thing i knew i was on the ground staring up at 'old man.'

i know they say get right back on the horse...yeah i did. but i have sworn off horses. i didn't really like them before, and im sure not warming up to them now. i don't like animals that are bigger than me...they could definitely end up killing me.

i knew i would have some gnarly bruises...and i sure do. i have a huge one on my upper thigh and one on my upper calf. luckily the rocks broke my fall. no big deal. plus i'm sore everywhere. i now love to lounge around and be lazy.

• riding a horse...i will admit it is fun, but no more.
• angel food cake, yummy dryness.
• being missed by someone you care about. 
• bachelorette parties! haha so many dirty things surround those
• the fact that school is almost over!!!!! i can't wait for summer
• river monsters is surprisingly interesting...but it makes me never want to set foot in a river or lake again

hello.

my dry-spell of no blogging has come to an end. i have come to my senses and have decided that i have been neglecting this poor blog. i will try better.

i will catch you all up on some fun facts:
+ finals week is next week. i am dreading it.
+ kayla stobers wedding is a week from wednesday. i can't believe she is getting married. i am so happy for her, and i will admit that i am fairly very excited to be a bridesmaid.
+ i declined the Disney Internship in Florida. it didn't work with my college credits and major [elementary education] so i said no. there must be a reason i need to stay in good old utah. i think i may know what it is.
+ still job-less for the summer. so if you know of any job openings...you could send them my way.
+ my sophomore year in college is coming to a close. i have also become lame and a netflix junky. "poor college student syndrome."
+ james is doing wonderful in Portugal! he is really starting to get a feel for all of the work. he's been out 200 days! crazy right?

i ripped my pants. by sitting down, despite what my instagram says. i was sitting cross-legged and they decided to split.

i "stole" some glasses from my physics class. and by "stole" i mean she said we could take them if we wanted. so i took them. this is what you saw through them.

tarah and i made red velvet pancakes with chocolate chips. everything could use some chocolate chips.

over the weekend i visited my stellar grandpa. he is a stud.

i also got to spend time with this little girl. its my brothers little girl. her name is kynzlie and she is the cutest thing i ever set my eyes on. between her facial expressions and her noises i think i could eat her up!
